Things that keep me motivated to workout

I wanted to share with you a few things that keep me pumped and motivated to workout. I know that some days are harder than others to get your butt to the gym. And on days like that I rely on the items below.

How I stay motivated & excited to workout:

  • MUSIC plays a HUGE role in my energy and focus while at the gym. I mainly use spotify because of its awesome playlist features. Every week it provides you with a bunch of new suggested playlists. Lots of times I find songs on there that are awesome! Also, it has a “discover weekly” playlist every Monday that is based solely on songs that you’ve liked. On top of that, it allows you to create playlists with friends! #WinWin

  • PRE-WORKOUT – If you’re not a caffeine person, skip this. BUT, if you are a caffeine FREAK like me then you gotta get you some preworkout. I buy mine at Total Nutrition. You cancheck out my video HERE on what I use and how I prepare it.

  • COOL WORKOUT TANKS – For some reason, I feel it necessary to wear gym tanks that have something funny or badass written on them. Its like, a weird thing with me. Here are a few of my favorite shops:

  • CUTE WORKOUT CAPRIS from ZELLA at Nordstrom! The price won’t break the bank AND you can find some discounted at Nordstrom Rack.

  • HATS – I seriously can not lift without wearing a hat. I dont even remember when it started or how, but now I’m completely addicted. It helps me stay focused and lets other people know I’m at the gym to lift and not talk lol. I go with cheap and simple cuz you KNOW you gonna be sweatin all up in that beetch – amazon has a great cheap option HERE.

  • BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES – 1more USA has great options! (and one lucky challenge winner will know exactly why I like them so much!)

  • RESISTANCE BANDS – Y’ALL! Using bands during my leg day sessions is a total game changer!! You wouldn’t think it would create a solid burn like it does. But trust me, the pump is REAL once you start incorporating band work into your workouts! You can find them cheap HERE.

  • GALLON GEAR – If you’re not drinking a gallon of water a day, I highly suggest you start working up to it! Not gonna lie, it definitely took me a few months to get it done. Once I started drinking a gallon of water a day, my body started immediately feeling better! My skin cleared up and I had way more energy. JUST from drinking more water. So now that I’m on the “jug-life”, I have to have my gallongear! Its basically like a purse attached to my jug. So wherever I go, I can take my water with me and any essentials I need as well. They come in all sorts of cute colors!
